The Burma documentary we watched in class was very moving and a major part of Burma's history. Citizen and local journalist like Joshua and Ko Muang filmed the entire documentary which was very dangerous on their part. The world might have never found out what was happening in Burma if it wasn't for their effort. The people of Burma were fed up with the military regime, which had been in power for decades. Soldiers of the regime killed thousands of citizens and imprisoned many citizens and monks. Monks also played a major role in the protest but eventually they started to be beaten and imprisoned as well. The documentary shows how the people of Burma had no freedom or rights. It was one of the saddest documentary's I've seen in a while. If it was't for citizen and local journalist who videotaped what was happening in Burma, people across the world might have never found out.
